The mystery of the locked door at the bottom of the Cathedral Ward in Bloodborne has been solved.
Bloodborne, like earlier From Software games, is filled with doors that don't open the first time you try them. Some will give you "locked" messages, others "does not open from this side". Some of these will open eventually through regular progression, while others require you to do a bit of exploring first.
